CDs have become my medium of choice for music collection. I always found the vinyl hobby to be quite an expensive one, not only because the medium itself is more expensive, but also because having the "right" hardware comes at a prohibitive cost. CDs are often cheaper and easier to find, can be ripped in lossless digital quality and can be played by any old machine. It also keeps the quality of being a physical object compared to mere files – when I hold a CD, I'm holding a piece of art in my hands, full with its cover art, disc art and booklet. This collection was built by myself over the years, a large part of it coming from Bandcamp or culture stores. These days, I'm starting to venture to more specialized places for music, to try and broaden my taste as well as finding some cheap used copies.
